About This Course
Having too many ideas in one track can be problematic, Saytek explains the importance of keeping it simple and focussing on specific parts for each track.
You will learn:
- How to organise a project
- Saving various versions of a project
- Make your own sample pack
- Turn an idea into a track.
Lessons:
1. Organising Your Project
Organising your project well and grouping sounds can improve your workflow, by obtaining all our sounds clearly labelled and in sight, it’s easier to start the process of stripping down various ideas.
2. Stripping Down and Saving Ideas
Saving various ideas from one project into different project files. Saytek explains how he would go about organising a project full of ideas and splitting them up.
3. Making Your Own Sample Pack (s)
Saytek explains how to make use of sounds that may not fit in the track by creating your own sample pack. Saving sounds in a folder you can use for future projects.
4. Moving Ideas Forward
Using the stripped down dubby chords and bass, Saytek shows us how he would now start focussing on one idea to make it into a track.
